My initial research led to me producing a 76 page booklet in A5 format that i hoped would be seen to be an updated & far more detailed account of the village in the Great War. PURTON, VILLAGE SONS & THE GREAT WAR was printed in April and so far i have sold 107 copies around the village, Swindon area and as far away as Canada. ALL proceeds are being donated to The Royal British Legion (Registered Charity 219279), copies are available through Rick from In Touch services in the village priced at £5, or you can use this page to purchase a copy using PAYPAL.
You can also purchase them direct from myself, just add 75 pence to the cost of the booklet & i will post anywhere in the world. E Mail me for further details.

I must thank all those who made the booklet possible, most noteable being Rick at In Touch for his help and HILLs recycling in the village who paid for the printing costs of the first print run. Many thanks for your support . Special thanks also goes to Phil and the kids at Braden Forest School in Purton for their excellent drawings, your support and wish to be involved made it all worth while.
